First look at Ridley Scott’s The Terror

AMC’s The Terror – first pictures released

The Terror is something I’m supporting in my day job and pleased to finally share the teaser trailer and first look images with you. AMC’s The Terror is produced by film legend Ridley Scott. I’ve been lucky enough to see the first episode, and whilst I can’t tell you anything yet, I hope this teaser trailer will make you eagerly excited to watch The Terror.

Sadly you’ll have to wait until 24th April 2018 to watch it on AMC, exclusive to BT customers (on BT TV or on Sky if are a BT Sport Pack customer).

The Terror teaser trailer

But at least you don’t have to wait any longer to get a teaser of the show, because the first teaser trailer has landed today. Check it out below.

Inspired by a true story, The Terror centers on the Royal Navy’s perilous voyage into unchartered territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage. Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other.

The ten-episode series stars Jared Harris (The Crown, Mad Men) as Captain Francis Crozier; Tobias Menzies (Outlander) as Captain James Fitzjames; Ciarán Hinds (Game of Thrones) as Sir John Franklin; Paul Ready (Cuffs) as Dr. Henry Goodsir; Adam Nagaitis (Suffragette) as Cornelius Hickey; Nive Nielsen (The New World) as Lady Silence; Ian Hart (Finding Neverland) as Thomas Blanky; and Trystan Gravelle (Mr. Selfridge) as Henry Collins.

The Terror captures a rare combination of fascinating history, complex and flawed characters, the inextinguishable human spirit and the horror and promise of an uncharted world,” said executive producers and co-showrunners David Kajganich and Soo Hugh. “We are looking forward to bringing viewers into this world.”

The Terror premieres with a double episode at 9pm on Tuesday 24th April on AMC on BT TV.

AMC is available free of charge in the UK to BT customers on channel number 332 on BT TV, and to BT Sport Pack subscribers on Sky channel 192.  AMC is also available in HD on both BT TV and Sky with an HD subscription (you must opt in to receive AMC).

There is currently an exhibition at the Greenwich Martime Museum: Franklin Death in the Ice, which I highly recommend seeing before it ends in January.

Discloser: In my day job I work in PR for BT and AMC, but they do not pay me to write articles on their programmes or to write positively about them. I only share on my blog news about their shows that I personally like and think/hope you will like to read about.
