Oscar 2017 nominations are in
|Award season is in full swing and now the Oscar 2017 nominations have just been announced. La La Land leads the way with 14 nominations including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and two original songs.
La La Land‘s Emma Stone is up against the most nominated and legendary actress Meryl Streep for Florence Foster Jenkins. While Stone’s co-star Ryan Gosling is going head to head with Casey Affleck for Manchester by the Sea. If Casey Affleck wins, he and his brother Ben, will be the only brothers to both win a Best Actor Oscar.
Tom Hanks and Amy Adams both missed out on a nomination, despite the Academy Awards’ website mistakenly listing them as nominees.
My hope is for LA LA Land, not to win the all, but Best Picture, Director, Costume Design, Cinematography and Original Song up my top picks. And looking at the Oscar odds from Sport Betting Dime, it’s at 3/1 for Best Picture and 2/1 for Best Director.
Here’s the full list.
