Following the live action remake trend, Disney has also recently released the trailer for The BFG, which stands for the Big Friendly Giant. The movie is due to be released on July 1st, and from everything we’ve seen so far, as well as their recent success on the classic remakes it looks set to be a fantastic viewing experience.

As usual, the CGI of the film looks remarkable. The trailer shows off an incredible realistic looking BFG, which still manages to stay very true to the classic animation of the giant, who is voiced by Mark Rylance. The story looks set to follow the original, with an orphan girl Sophie befriending the giant (one of the few non-human eaters), who is a dream catcher and together they go on an epic journey against the far less friendly giants of his world.

Have a look at the trailer below and tell us what you think. Are you excited for this remake as much as the others? The BFG was always one of my personal favourites as a child and one of the films that was almost constantly being watched so this one in particular holds a very special place in my heart.
