So there was a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the Star Wars Celebration convention today. But sadly not a full trailer, but another teaser, but boy did this give us a lot to ponder about.
The trailer opens with Mark Hamill who plays Luke Skywalker narrating. talking about the force in his family, with a shot of a burnt Darth Vader mask – he also refers to his father in the present tense rather, it could be a teaser that Darth Vader is still alive or simply the fact that they are using the same speech Luke gave his sister Leia at the Ewok village in Return of the Jedi where he told her they were siblings and Darth Vader was their father
Luke’s narration is talking directly to someone, saying they have the force too, relatively unknown British actress Daisy Ridley plays the character Rey, who is rumoured to be the daughter of Han Solo and Princess Leia, so it is likely that Luke is talking to her as her uncle.
We see more of the villain Kylo Ren then before, his mask was revealed in this trailer, whereas the previous teaser trailer we just saw a glimpse of him and his crossguard lightabre.
We get to see more of the Millennium Falcon in action and at the end of the trailer we get one last teaser with a brief glimpse of Harrison Ford as Han Solo with Chewbacca onboard the spaceship saying they are ‘home’.
Check out the trailer below. Those in the UK can catch me talking about this tomorrow morning on Sky News.
