Top 10 movie crushes
|Ok, so there is a trend going on of sharing your top 10 movie crushes. I first read Zoe’s list at The Sporadic Chronicles who was inspired by Cinema Parrot Disco and Where The Wild Things Are crush lists. So after reading all three, I thought clearly I should share mine list.
So here goes…I don’t think I will say these are in any particular order because I’m sure I’ll keep changing my mind!
Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Thor: The Dark World
Better hair (longer) than the first outing, muscles and a cape. What’s not to like?!
Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Thor: The Dark World
Sticking with the the same film and family and it’s because of the hair again. Put long hair on any man and that immediately moves them up the scale for me. But there is something about Hiddleston’s Loki.
Al Pacino as Frank Slade, Scent of a Woman
A man that can’t see, but can see the world better than a young man. He can drive a car and dance with a woman, what’s not love about that?
Ryan Gosling as Noah, The Notebook
I recalled seeing Ryan Gosling in Murder by Numbers before this, remembered that he dated Sandra Bullock, but thought he was a bit skinny and quirky looking. Then he’d filled out, grew into his looks, grew a beard and got all in love an built a house for the woman he loved.
JJ Feild as Henry Tilney, Northanger Abbey
It might be a TV movie but I think it still counts. Mr Tilney is one of the underated heroes of Jane Austen’s classics, often hiding in the shadow of Mr Darcy. JJ does a perfect portrayal of this loveable gentleman.
Ryan Gosling as the Driver, Drive
Making it into the list twice, this is really the moment when everyone fell in love with Gosling. Every man wanted to be him and every woman wanted to be with him. He proves that you don’t need a name, nor many words to hold an audience in a film.
Brad Pitt as Joe, Meet Joe Black
I’ve never been madly in love with Brad Pitt like many girls I know, but there was something about him as Joe, experiencing things for the first time. Only Brad could remind you how amazing your first taste of peanut butter was. So clearly this one needed a gif!
Gerrard Butler as Terry Sheridan, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life
Now I first spotted Gerrard Butler as the idiot boyfriend from a TV show called Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married, but it was this film when I first spotted him on the big screen and saw him as an action hero. As much as I loved the long curly hair on him, the short, speckled grey hair was clearly the look for him. Throw in that he was the first celebrity that I ever saw in the flesh that was actually taller than me (I’m over six foot when I wear heels), looked ruggedly handsome and went by unnoticed by the press and photographers but not by me!
Clark Gable as Rhett Butler, Gone With the Wind
How could she not fall in love with him? Perhaps because he chased too much. I loved the old movies growing up, but always found it strange that the women were beautiful and the men seemed not so and twice their age. But there was something about Clark as Rhett that stood out from that theory for me.

Some interesting choices! I will NEVER argue with Chris Hemsworth being on a list like this. ; ) Gosling was definitely hottest in Drive. Prefer my Brad Pitt from Legends of the Fall or Thelma & Louise. Maybe Fight Club as well… He’s one handsome guy! Lol – I love these crush lists!!!! Great job! : )
Thanks. The good thing about doing the list after yours is you’ve already ticked some of the good ones off so makes it easier for me to do a list of 10 😉
Oh yes… the Driver…
Love the list!
Thanks. It took so long to shorten it to 10!
LOL! That happens, I know!
Loved the list – especially Chris Hemsworth and Gerard Butler 😀
