Waiting Sucks, so fill the True Blood void

There are so many films I want to see this year I just don’t know how I am going to fit them all in! Especially as so many of them are super hero related. One of the non-super hero films I’m looking forward to is Byzantium. Don’t ask me how to pronounce this, as this word wasn’t made for the dyslexic brains like me! But it is apparently a stylish new take on a vampire story and as it’s in cinemas next week if gives me my vampire fix before True Blood returns next month.

The film stars Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia), Saoirse Ronan (Atonement), and Sam Riley (Brighton Rock) and is directed by someone you might consider to be a bit of a vampire expert, Neil Jordan, (An Interview With A Vampire)

Here is the synopsis from Studio Canal: Two mysterious women seek refuge in a run‐down coastal resort. Clara meets lonely Noel, who provides shelter in his deserted guesthouse, Byzantium. Schoolgirl Eleanor befriends Frank and tells him their lethal secret. They were born 200 Years ago and survive on human blood. As knowledge of their secret spreads, their past catches up on them with deathly consequence.

And if you want to see a sneak peak of the film, then check out this clip below. It hits UK cinemas on 31st May.
